Energy Massage (with Catherine Whittaker, Reiki Master / Teacher)
Chronic pain is often caused by energetic blockages in the body. Catherine's energy massage is a slow, intuitive massage that focuses solely on reconnecting your energetic flow to discontinue the source of the problem that is causing all the pain. If you live with consistant upper body pain, such as shoulder issues or tendinitus, an energy massage may be exactly what is needed.
This service is a Reiki-Massage hybrid exclusive to Summerhurst. Summerhurst's energy massage is soft and enjoyable, and gives you similar results as Reiki. Since energy massage is more forceful than Reiki on its own, however, it is very helpful in disolving those stubborn blockages.

Summerhurst Head Massage (with Catherine Whittaker, Reiki Master / Teacher)
Originally introduced as Indian Head Massage, this luxurious and healing modality is extremely relaxing and excellent at opening all your upper energy centers, increasing your circulation, reducing tension headaches and promoting a sense of calmness. The areas most vulnerable to stress and tension are massaged, including full back, shoulders, arms and neck. Then melt away while you enjoy a relaxing head, face and ear massage.
Summerhurst’s treatment has been modified to a lay down version with a good dose of energy massage, excellent if you suffer from any upper body pain such as tendinitis, carpal tunnel, shoulder and neck pain. Session is also ideal for relaxation, or if you are interested in energy work with a pampering twist. Summerhurst’s Head Massage focuses on relieving any body imbalances and tension and is a signature treatment at Summerhurst.

Facial Rejuvenation (with Catherine Whittaker, Reiki Master / Teacher)
Be one of the first in Nova Scotia to experience a luxurious facial rejuvenation massage, also known as the facelift massage.This gentle technique relaxes your facial muscles and stimulates circulation to promote healthy, glowing skin. Combined with accupressure on your head, ears, chest, arms, and feet, this is one experience you will want to try over and over again!

Summerhurst’s relaxation massage is a head to toe massage, and is applied with a high quality massage oil which can be blended with medical grade aromatherapy to meet your scent preference, mood and/or health and emotional goals.
